Day 4 and 5 in the NICU.

What a turn of events. Our little man has been weening down on his oxygen enough to start eating real food!! We can only bottle feed him now, formula and pumped breast milk, until his respiratory rate gets better, but let me tell you. This kid can eat!! Such a good sign. So he ate for the first time! Yay!

TODAY WAS FANTASTIC! I got to the hospital and the nurse asked me if I would like to BF him. He did so good. He wants immediate food since he has been on the bottle, but once the milk was flowing, he was a happy man. Corey came up a short while later and we got to give him his first bath! And I got to nurse him again. His oxygen is on room air only (so no actual oxygen, just air flow!) He keeps on yanking his nasal cannula off and his stats stay up!! The doctor wants us to meet him there tomorrow (his pediatrician) since we have not met yet (he was on vacay last week) and hopefully Brody will be on his best behavior.... we want him home!!!!!

So glad Brody is doing well! He's a VERY cute baby! Love those cheeks.
I totally missed that you had your baby. Congrats!!! He is super cute! I hope he comes home very soon.
